Poly Fest 2015

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, faakalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!

College kids participate in this amazing Polyfest event. They participate in this event because they want to show their awesome moves and their amazing talent to everyone who's going there. They take a lot of their spare time to practice and practice there dances, so they can win a trophy, and more fun prizes.

To win this amazing prize they have to do practicing everyday and every week until the day they are performing. To make there dance perfect they have to smile in front of the audience and not be shy, sing loud as you can, And dance there heart out.

They also have to prove other dances that there better then them, but not in a mean way. I can't wait till I go to the poly fest and get heaps of information about it and learn about it in class. I hope I will have so much fun and enjoy my experience there.
